Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a NOC Lead to support a company focused on cybersecurity operations, engineering, and compliance for federal mission environments. This position is on-site at Manassas, VA and Washington, DC . The NOC Lead will oversee 24/7 network operations, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of enterprise systems while leading incident response and operational excellence initiatives. This role is critical to maintaining mission continuity and driving reliability across complex IT infrastructure. Responsibilities for the NOC Lead include:
  • Monitor system, network, and application performance while ensuring continuous operational availability
  • Lead incident response efforts, manage escalations, and coordinate service restoration across teams
  • Supervise and mentor NOC staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and effective shift operations
  • Oversee change management, maintenance activities, and vendor coordination
  • Drive process improvements, reporting, and compliance with SLA and operational standards Required Qualifications for the NOC Lead include:
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT operations, network operations, or systems administration, with 2-5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience with enterprise technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching, firewalls, Cisco (IOS-XE, NX-OS), and Arista (EOS)
  • Strong experience with incident management, root cause analysis, SLA-driven environments, and 24/7 operations
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience) in IT, Networking, or related field
  • Active Top Secret clearance (within the last 5 years) or DOE Q clearance Compensation for the NOC Lead include:
Salary Range:
$170,000-190,000
