The Director Technology Enterprise Systems is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school environment, overseen by the Executive Director of Technology, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount. All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Provides leadership, strategies, project management, information systems engineering services, and systems administration management and support for enterprise technologies for K-12 educationWorking Conditions:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience and industry certifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in information systems engineering and systems administration for enterprise IT solutions, supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrates knowledge in networks and systems design and in managing information technology and telecommunications services in a business, school district or agency; preferred competencies/certifications in Fortinet products for firewall, switching, wireless networking and telephony; preferred competencies/certifications in Microsoft server, storage, mobile device management, and application management platforms • Expertise with administering K12 enterprise applications and integrations and server/database administration and management • The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Knowledge & Duties:
- Supports the Executive Director of Technology and Chief Information Officer in the implementation and support of the district's technology and strategic plans and initiatives
- Provides leadership within the Technology Division of PCSD by overseeing the Enterprise Solutions organizational unit including systems administration, information systems engineering, systems integrations, data and cyber security, data center and server management, and programming
- Leads and supervises the district's technology enterprise operations personnel including onboarding and evaluation
- Oversees comprehensive and effective systems administration, solutions engineering, data analytics including data visualization, maintenance, and support for high performance and security
- Maintains enterprise data centers, server administration (physical and virtual architecture), and cloud applications
- Ensures the proper implementation, configuration, and integration of information technology solutions for all functional areas within a K12 school district
- Administers the district's enterprise applications and equipment and provides escalated engineering support services
- Verifies the backup, redundancy, replication, and disaster recovery for the district's enterprise solutions
- Directs the compilation and maintaining of computerized records such as material inventory, operational procedures, and application documentation
- Manages the proper selection, implementation, testing, maintenance, and ongoing support of technologies required to provide for the program needs in the various levels of the school district
- Responsible for ensuring usage of change control, project management, and configuration management guidelines/practices
- Directs technology strategies and service with an understanding of the needs of the educational customer and the K-12 classroom environment
- Maintains liaison with the Georgia State Department of Education, other districts, the information technology industry, and others as appropriate to maintain current information in the field of technology services and education
- Forecasts and prepares budgets for departmental expenditures
