Bolingbrook, Illinois Work environment: Hybrid Is Sponsorship offered: No Overview TFWW is seeking a Director of IT Operations to lead and evolve our internal technology landscape and IT operations. This role is responsible for the strategy, performance, and reliability of all non-customer-facing systems, ensuring our teams have secure, scalable, and efficient tools to operate the business. The idea candidate brings a strong technical foundation (preferably with roots in software development), combined with growing executive leadership experience and the ability to operate confidently at the senior leadership level. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop IT Operations teams, including support and systems/integrations functions Own the performance, reliability, and security of internal systems (e.g. email, network infrastructure, MDM, CRM platforms, cloud environments, endpoint security) Act as the senior escalation point for IT issues and incidents Partner with executive leadership (President, VPs, Directors) to align IT strategy with business objectives Oversee IT-related compliance efforts, including SOX controls, audits, and documentation Collaborate with corporate leadership on cybersecurity initiatives, policies, and rollouts Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs for IT systems and services Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization for IT Operations Work closely with the Director of Business Solutions to ensure alignment across internal and customer-facing systems Provide informed input on architecture and solution design, with the ability to challenge and validate technical decisions Qualifications 10+ years of experience in IT, with progression into leadership roles Strong foundational background in software development or engineering Proven experience leading IT operations, infrastructure, or enterprise systems teams Familiarity with cloud platforms, networking, endpoint management, and enterprise SaaS ecosystems Experience with IT compliance frameworks (SOX experience strongly preferred) Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in senior leadership settings Strong vendor management and negotiation skills Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Nice to Have Experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or related industries Exposure to high-growth or operationally complex environments What Success Looks Like Stable, secure, and scalable internal systems that support business growth High-performing IT Operations team with strong process-oriented service delivery Effective partnership with executive leadership and cross-functional teams Proactive approach to risk management, compliance, and securityDisclaimer:
