Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for an IT Operations Manager for Virtual Workstations for Simulation (f/m) to join our Digital team EIIDEC•Scientific Computing based in Marignane, France. You will be part of a team in the E2E development domain, which delivers digital solutions for the entire end-to-end development process of our helicopters. As part of the PSL Scientific Computing, you will contribute to providing over 400 simulation engineers with a High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure, pre•and post-processing means, predictive applications, data management and other solutions in the simulation toolchain. The IT Operations Manager for virtual simulation workstations is the technical specialist for the VDI platform called P3NG. This role works in conjunction with the Product Manager and is responsible for the optimization, reliability, efficiency and availability of the platform in an industrialized manner in accordance with best practices, rules and policies.
Your challenges:
Ensure and monitor the availability, robustness and performance of the ~140 Windows & Linux virtual workstations of P3NG and maintain the infrastructure in operational condition in line with OLA/SLAs Perform the support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management. Analyse error reports, diagnose issues and take corrective action in order to ensure continuity of operations, involving other technical teams and vendors as needed. Coordinate the process of updating the different components of the platform including the Windows and Linux masters as well as the deployed simulation applications Identify and implement technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency and availability of the platform. Involve and communicate to all relevant stakeholders including end users, other teams in Digital, management as well as other Airbus divisions. Your profile: Minimum 3 years of experience in information technology or related fields with the deployment, operation and maintenance of complex technical environments Technical expertise : Virtualization (VDIs / Citrix), hardware infrastructure (servers, network switches etc), Windows administration, Linux administration (RHEL 7/8/9), ActiveDirectory, NIS domains, application deployment, network storage, network flows & firewall rules, ServiceNow Familiarity with technologies such as HPC and simulation tools (e.g. CFD/FEM) is a plus Knowledge around ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, service level management, etc) Good communication and stakeholder management skills, including user support and supplier coordination Fluent in English, with a collaborative spirit and strong customer orientation Your working environment: Major economic hub with Marseille-Provence Airport, Marignane is a dynamic city in the southeast of France.
