Job Description
IT Support Manager Pharma Fusion | Mandeville, LA | Full-Time | On-Site Position Overview Pharma Fusion is looking for an experienced IT Support Manager to run our IT operations. This is an on-site role at our corporate office in Mandeville, covering day-to-day support, infrastructure, and security for employees at all Pharma Fusion locations. The job is hands-on. You will do the work yourself and also decide how things should run: setting standards for systems and processes, managing vendors and the IT budget, and planning what we need as we add employees and open new locations. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer and works closely with managers across the company. We want someone who can put together a plan for the year and also drop everything when a critical system goes down. You should know Microsoft 365, networking, endpoint management, and security well, understand what HIPAA requires of an IT environment, and be able to decide what gets attention first when several things need it at once. Key Responsibilities Support Operations
- Run the support function day to day, including priorities, response expectations, and overall support quality.
- Manage the ticket queue, set response and resolution expectations, and keep support consistent across all locations.
- Handle escalations for complex or business-critical problems.
- Work with the CTO and department managers to line up IT projects with what the business needs.
- Help build and maintain a plan for infrastructure, security, and system upgrades. IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Keep servers, networks, cloud services, and employee computers running reliably and securely at every location.
- Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
- Set up and maintain accounts, groups, permissions, licensing, MFA, and conditional access policies.
- Handle endpoint management, patching, imaging, and standard device builds.
- Support firewalls, switches, wireless, VPN, and connectivity between offices.
- Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans, and test them on a regular schedule.
- Keep IT standards, documentation, asset inventory, and change records current. Security & Compliance
- Manage endpoint protection, email security, patching of known vulnerabilities, and security awareness training for employees.
- Make sure IT systems and practices meet HIPAA requirements and protect PHI.
- Maintain security policies and procedures, and support audits and risk assessments.
- Respond to security incidents, outages, and possible data exposure. Vendors, Budget & Projects
- Manage MSP, telecom, software, and hardware vendors, including contracts, renewals, and service levels.
- Build and manage the IT budget, and evaluate purchases for cost and value.
- Run IT projects from planning through completion, including implementations, migrations, upgrades, office buildouts, and new location setups.
- Fix inefficient processes and automate repetitive work where it makes sense.
- Keep leadership updated on IT performance, ticket trends, project status, and risks. Qualifications
- At least 5 years in IT, including time in a senior, lead, or IT management role.
- Experience running IT for a company with more than one location.
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration experience, including identity, security, and licensing.
- Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall administration.
- Experience with endpoint management and patching using Intune or something comparable.
- Practical security experience and comfort working in a regulated environment.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and an IT budget.
- Able to explain technical issues clearly to people who are not technical.
- Able to juggle competing requests, finish projects, and still do the hands-on work. Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or other HIPAA-regulated industry experience.
- Experience supporting pharmacy management, EHR, or other business-critical applications.
- Server, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure experience (Windows Server, Hyper-V/VMware, Azure).
- Experience selecting and implementing ticketing, RMM, and remote support platforms.
- RingCentral or comparable UCaaS administration experience.
- Experience standing up IT for new office or facility openings.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, or security-focused credentials.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
