Job Description
IT / Technical Manager Paragon Communications is a market leader in remanufactured electronics, managed IT services, supply chain solutions, and the distribution of new and remanufactured technology for the IT and communications industry. We are seeking a motivated, hands-on IT / Technical Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for a well-rounded IT professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting end users, and ensuring that our technology environment remains secure, reliable, and efficient. Key Responsibilities Provide Tier II/III technical support for desktop, server, network, and application issues. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 workstations, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices. Administer and maintain Windows Server (2012-2022) environments. Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, security groups, permissions, Group Policy, and password administration. Administer Microsoft 365, including user provisioning, licensing, Exchange Online mailboxes, distribution groups, and Teams. Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, switches, and wireless infrastructure. Configure and support Grandstream networking and wireless devices. Manage backup and disaster recovery processes using Veeam Backup & Replication. Perform SQL database maintenance and basic troubleshooting. Support and maintain Sage 100 ERP and related business applications. Manage endpoint security using Sophos and support Check Point VPN and email security solutions. Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and standard operating procedures. Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers when necessary. Assist in planning, implementing, and improving IT systems, infrastructure, and security initiatives. Ensure timely resolution of technical issues while delivering excellent customer service to internal users. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of hands-on IT support or systems administration experience. Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 desktop environments. Experience administering Windows Server 2012-2022. Working knowledge of Active Directory administration. Experience managing Microsoft 365 users, licensing, mailboxes, and groups. Experience with managed switches and wireless infrastructure. Experience supporting SQL databases. Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication or similar backup solutions. Experience with Sophos Endpoint Security and Check Point VPN technologies. Experience supporting Sage 100 ERP is highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or managed services environments. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection.
