We are looking for an individual that has a proven track record of managing small to medium business IT infrastructure and daily IT support. The AES team consists of engineering, software, manufacturing staff, sales and service, providing a unique mix of IT requirements. This role would implement standards and tools to assist in the company's continued growth.
Responsibilities:
Systems Administration:
Oversee the upkeep, configuration, and performance of servers and operating systems. Support directory services and ensure compliance with security policies. Monitor applications and ensure business continuity Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery processes.
Network Oversight:
Monitor network performance and address issues proactively. Ensure network infrastructure aligns with security standards and business needs. Propose and implement infrastructure improvements End-user support Ensure proper on/off boarding of employees Rapid response to resolve issues or answer critical questions Transparent and clear communication of issues resolution Manage IT inventory and purchasing Leverage ticketing systems to manage incoming requests and ensure timely response Track KPIs to ensure IT team is providing the required level of service (response time and quality of response) Strategy and Budgeting Forecast company IT needs and provide annual budgeting Work with vendors and service providers to reduce costs Work with the team to identify and implement new technology to support growth Documentation Documentation of all internal and external systems Implement process for IT tasks to reduce friction Project management Contribute to system migrations, policy implementations, and IT-related projects Work with external vendors to ensure effective service delivery Propose and implement infrastructure projects tracking budget and timeline
Core Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in systems and network administration. Experience in server and networking administration Microsoft server and Linux server management MSSQL and Postgres management with proficiency in SQL Networking expertise including architecture, security, and troubleshooting Virtualization management in Hyper V and experience with linux based hypervisors Experienced with Google workspace administration including configuration of security policies, group and user management Experience managing infrastructure projects Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation. Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues across various platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience managing AWS Infrastructure with an eye on monitoring and reducing costs Experience with Docker,Docker compose, Kubernetes Ability to script in bash and powershell Experience with BI tools, such as Metabase ERP/MRP Experience Experience managing internal IT team members and external IT providers Experience working with IT service desk and remote monitoring and management systems
