IT Manager Chevy Chase Club - 3.5 Chevy Chase, MD Job Details Full-time $124,000 - $170,000 a year 20 hours ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Research Full Job Description Designs, develops, implements and manages an organization's information technology infrastructure, including computer application systems, computer and communication systems, network and related systems. Establishes and maintains information technology policies, procedures and standards. Manages all aspects of hardware and software inventory and procurement, including audits to ensure hardware and software comply with standards, policies and configuration guidelines; hardware and software maintenance; evaluation and purchase of new hardware and software; and negotiation with vendors for software licenses. Monitors information technology infrastructure and related system operations and assesses potential risks. Develops analytical and reporting tools, feasibility studies, and recommendations for enhancements to the information technology infrastructure and its supporting hardware and software. Implements recovery and backup procedures. Evaluates training requirements for current and new IT solutions, develops appropriate training materials, and provides staff training. Researches and evaluates new technology, techniques, threats and industry best practices to optimize efficiency and usability and minimize vulnerabilities. Prepares and oversees the department budget. Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, develops and evaluates information technology staff. Plans and reviews compensation actions and enforces policies and procedures. May assist staff with diagnosing and solving computer equipment problems.
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of prior IT management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, prior Club experience is preferred
Technical Knowledge :
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, enterprise operating systems, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, data privacy requirements, and backup and disaster recovery practices. Experience supporting business-critical applications, telecommunications systems, audiovisual technologies, and end-user computing environments. Ability to evaluate technology risks, manage vendors and technology assets, and ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations that support both staff and member experiences.
Soft Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to align technology investments with the Club's short- and long-term goals. Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information. Ability to build trust across all levels of the organization through ethical decision-making, accountability, and a commitment to safeguarding organizational and member data. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Methodologies :
Demonstrated ability to lead technology initiatives using change management principles, IT service management (ITSM) best practices, project management methodologies, vendor management, and business continuity planning. Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and Agile and Waterfall methodologies preferred. The IT Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, security, and ongoing management of the Club's technology infrastructure and information systems. This position oversees all aspects of network operations, hardware and software administration, cybersecurity, data protection, vendor relationships, and technology-related projects to ensure reliable and efficient business operations.
