Director of Information Technology Luxury Mountain Resort |
Montana, USA Compensation Base Salary:
$150,000 / year
Housing Allowance:
$1,000 / month

$3,000 Role Overview A hands-on IT leadership role overseeing the daily technology operations of a five-star luxury resort. The Director owns all property technology planning, implementation, governance, and security — leading internal staff and external partners to keep every system running at the standard guests expect. Key Technical Deliverables Infrastructure ownership — across the resort's network, servers, and business applications System administration — PMS (Opera), POS, financial systems, document management, and spa/retail/recreation platforms Network architecture — VLANs, wireless, VoIP, IPTV, and videoconferencing across the property Platform management — VMware environments, SCCM patch management, and backup/recovery testing and documentation Access governance — provisioning, authorization, segregation of duties, and timely deprovisioning across all systems Security & compliance — PCI-DSS and GDPR compliance, enforcing security policy and controls Project delivery — on schedule and within budget, from scoping through go-live Vendor & budget management — hardware/software inventories, license tracking, and technology spend, including cost-benefit analysis Required Qualifications 8+ years in progressive IT leadership, with prior experience in luxury hospitality or resort operations Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, PMP, or ITIL Hands-on technical depth with Windows Server/desktop environments, VMware, SCCM, and enterprise backup platforms Demonstrated experience in hospitality systems — Opera PMS, POS, and HRIS platforms Working knowledge of PCI-DSS, GDPR, and information security governance frameworks Flexibility to support after-hours incident response and critical system disruptions Client identity withheld pending mutual candidate interest.
