Information Technology Job Summary Provides leadership and oversight for the organization's information technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunications, applications, data management, and innovation initiatives. Leads the planning, implementation, maintenance, and support of technology systems that advance organizational goals, improve operational efficiency, and support high-quality patient care. Serves as the primary liaison between technology vendors, stakeholders, and end users. Essential Functions Develops departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational priorities. Provides leadership for cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning. Ensures compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations and other applicable requirements. Oversees hardware, software, network, telecommunications, and system performance. Evaluates, recommends, and manages technology acquisitions, contracts, and vendor relationships. Develops and manages the department budget and ensures responsible stewardship of resources. Recruits, trains, coaches, and evaluates IT personnel. Leads technology projects, implementations, upgrades, and conversions. Maintains system integrity, security, and availability. Partners with department leaders to identify technology solutions that improve operations and patient care. Ensures timely and professional customer service and support to users. Develops and maintains department records, reports, and performance metrics. Serves as a member of the leadership team and participates in strategic planning. Represents the organization at conferences, committees, and professional meetings. Stays current on emerging technologies and healthcare IT trends. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. Consistent attendance is required. Supervises Information Technology staff and oversees contracted IT services as applicable.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum five years of progressive IT experience. Minimum two years of leadership or people management experience. Healthcare IT experience preferred.
