AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
mainstages, LLC is seeking a team member to fill the full-time role of Performance Manager. The Performance Manager will support the Artistic Director and CEO in the essential coordination of all our performance services. The right person is ananized, self-starter who is passionate about arts education and curating shows that focus on children's socioemotional development and, most importantly, fun! The Director of Performances will own the quality of Mainstages performances. This role pairs administrative support with hands-on oversight of all aspects of performances including managing performer roster, curating show content, preparing and coordinating shows, observing and reporting to executive decision makers.

Holds a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and high confidence in driving.
Has previous experience managing tour logistics including vehicle mapping and load in/out procedures.
Has a working knowledge of show tech (sound, backdrop display, A/V), or can learn it quickly.
Can lift and move supplies of up to 35 pounds.
Can clear background checks and fingering required to work in NYC DOE schools.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
General:
Administrative responsibilities are remote with 1-2 workdays in our office located in Fort Lee, NJ to prep andanize supplies, and assist with vehicle maintenance.
Work in collaboration with the Artistic Director and CEO in preparation for each performance.
Attend required meetings, trainings and visit performances to assist in tech, when requested.
Document and maintain propermunication via weekly objective meetings, and effective use of Slack.
Manage Performance Google Calendar.
Step in as Production Assistant when requested depending on staff availability.
Manage load-out procedures from the mainstages office.
Drive a mainstages provided vehicle, when requested.
Take, andanize photos and videos of performances.
Supervision & Support:
Perform site visits to track and monitor quality control, routinely.
Support Performers by providing feedback and as an ongoing resource.
Track and collect site-reports and surveys.
Input and trigger all travel logistics, setlists and confirmation emails via salesforce.
Research and book hotels, flights and rental cars for out-of-state tours.
Maintain 'on-call' hours over the designated weekends when performances are occurring.
Staffing & Training:
Lead performer staffing process such as; initial managing job postings, feedback on staff applications, conduct initial interviews, attending follow-up interviews as requested.
Assist Artistic Director in the development of performer's training.
Schedule and conduct ongoing rehearsals with performers prior to scheduled performances.
Prepare supplies for each performance.
Manage Google Calendar toanize and assign meetings, as well as manage performer assignments.
Show Development:
Manage feedback on show development and implementation.
Develop setlists,anize, maintain, and distribute performance materials including adding activities to the Theater Database including new trivia, physical challenges, and act-out challenges.
Maintain detailed records of performances including scheduling, travel and all remaining logistics.
Assist Artistic Director in development of new shows and initiatives including writing scripts.
Client Relations:
Follow up with potential, new and existing clients on performance bookings (gathering all the necessary information).
Communicate with clients and staff via surveys and implement appropriate feedback.
Assist in the development and refinement of forms and surveys.
Communicate with clients each time when conducting site visits
Production Supplies:
Lead the management of inventory, filing and acquisition of supplies.
Lead in inventory management andanization of storage space for costumes and prop management.
Submit requests/work orders for production supplies, design needs, and other purchases.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A passion for arts education and giving kids a place to belong and be heard.
5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience
College graduation or equivalent
Licensed Driver with the ability to retain a vehicle in their area.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Proven writing skills, detail-orientation, ability to coordinate multiple projects, and manage multiple software programs.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Google platforms, Jotform, Salesforce.
DESIRED SKILLS
Previous experience with Salesforce, Zoom and/or Slack.
Knowledge and experience in working with educational non-profitanizations, schools and camps.
