Job Description
The Campaign & Civic Engagement Manager leads the design and execution of integrated campaigns that build the political power of immigrant and working-class communities across New Mexico. Somos Un Pueblo Unido is a statewide immigrant-led organization that builds power with immigrant and working-class communities through community organizing, leadership development, civic engagement, and policy advocacy. This role connects community organizing, grassroots policy advocacy, and voter engagement strategies to advance systemic change. The manager works closely with organizers and coalition partners to support issue-based campaigns focused on immigrant rights, workforce equity, economic justice, and civic engagement.
Responsibilities include:
Lead and support local and statewide issue-based campaigns Develop campaign strategies, goals, timelines, and outreach plans Support voter registration, voter education, and Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) efforts through Somos' Viva el Voto program Train organizers and community leaders on campaign engagement strategies Build and maintain partnerships with coalition organizations and allies Track campaign progress and evaluate outcomes Ensure compliance with nonprofit and electoral guidelines Represent Somos in statewide coalitions and advocacy spaces Support legislative advocacy efforts during the New Mexico legislative sessionQualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in campaign development or civic engagement Experience managing campaigns or large-scale field programs Strong understanding of grassroots power-building strategies Experience with voter engagement and electoral campaigns Bilingual in English and Spanish Strong project management and organizational skills Willingness to travel statewide and work evenings/weekends during campaign periodsPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field Experience with nonprofit compliance and electoral laws Familiarity with EveryAction, VAN, or similar voter databases Background in policy advocacy or legislative campaignsCompensation & Benefits:
