Bostik is seeking a highly motivated Technical Service Specialist to lead the operation and performance of its pilot and production laminators while supporting internal technical projects and laboratory activities. This role is ideal for a hands-on, mechanically inclined professional who enjoys working directly with equipment, solving process challenges, and collaborating across R D, operations, and commercial teams. Key Responsibilities
Laminator Operation & Ownership Serve as the primary owner of the pilot and production laminators: Oversee equipment readiness, maintenance planning, and safe operation Establish and optimize run parameters to ensure consistent performance across various adhesive chemistries Coordinate testing schedules and manage sample production runs
Act as the subject matter expert for Bostik's laminator technology and converting processes. Lead lamination-related technical projects supporting R D, Product Management, and Sales teams. Internal Technical Service Conduct hands-on testing, data analysis, adhesive evaluations, process optimization, and internal application studies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product scale-up, quality investigations, and innovation projects.
Support field reps and customers with troubleshooting, line trials, and technical evaluations
Provide clear, actionable technical recommendations and best practices to support Sales and Business Development efforts Prepare reports, presentations, and application guides for both internal and customer use. Qualifications
Required Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred; relevant hands-on experience or technical training will be highly considered in lieu of a degree
2+ years of relevant experience in adhesives, converting, flexible packaging, technical service, manufacturing, or similar environments
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to operate pilot/production-scale laminator equipment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work hands-on with equipment in a lab or pilot production environment.
Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset. Preferred Experience with solvent/water based, solventless, extrusion laminators.
Background in adhesive formulation or application development.
Understanding of flexible packaging, substrates, coating/lamination processes, or web-handling principles.
