Pay Rate:
$12.00 per hour
General Scope:
The Summer Technology Assistant will gain hands-on experience in device management, hardware repair, and IT asset lifecycle operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform software updates and deployments on district computer fleets. Perform hardware repairs and component replacements on district devices. Prepare technology designated as surplus for auction by performing secure data sanitization (hard drive reformatting) and archiving essential district documentation. Assist in the physical rollout of new technology, including the unboxing, assembly, and configuration of printers, workstations, and classroom peripherals. Assist in the installation of district-approved software and specialized applications. Maintain high-accuracy records of newly deployed equipment and surplus hardware using the district's inventory management system. Identify and resolve hardware and software conflicts through problem-solving and collaboration with the Technology & Communications Department staff. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and document all technical work via the department's internal ticketing system.
