Job Description
Position Summary The Manager - Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the Company's technology environment across its Pittsburgh, PA and Palm Bay, FL plant locations, serving as both the primary IT point of contact and a strategic business partner. This hands-on role balances approximately 60% reliable execution and service delivery including direct problem solving, vendor orchestration, issue escalation and delivery oversight with 40% continuous improvement and modernization. Success requires broad technical aptitude to resolve issues directly, when necessary, combined with the ability to orchestrate and actively manage delivery partners to ensure secure, stable, and responsive IT operations that align with manufacturing processes and culture. The role is hands-on and requires sufficient technical depth to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues directly while effectively managing specialized providers. While reliable and secure infrastructure are foundational, the role's incremental value will come from developing strong business acumen, partnering closely with functional leaders and using enterprise systems, data, automation and other technologies to improve the bottom line. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technology owner and point of contact across U.S. businesses, building trusted relationships with leadership and applying sound judgment in determining what to resolve directly, what to escalate and what to delegate to specialized providers, while retaining accountability for outcomes.
- Continuously prioritize multiple concurrent operational and improvement workstreams based on business impact, risk, urgency and resource capacity. Direct Managed Service Providers (MSPs), software vendors, consultants and Corporate IT by defining outcomes, assigning clear accountability, managing dependencies and monitoring performance against agreed service levels and commitments.
- Own the reliability, security, and evolution of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (Windows/Linux servers, VMware, Hyper-V), managing patching, upgrades, and evaluating and implementing cloud-based solutions where appropriate.
- Govern and administer directory services and Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), including identity synchronization, access controls, and multi-factor authentication.
- Manage enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing) and cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and vulnerability remediation in alignment with corporate policies.
- Own business continuity and disaster recovery readiness, ensuring backup solutions are implemented, tested, and periodically validated with providers.
- Act as the internal champion for enterprise applications, specifically Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Infor SyteLine), leading program management for implementations, reporting, and post-launch stabilization.
- Develop deep working knowledge of the Company's manufacturing operations, business processes, priorities and culture, using that understanding to govern SyteLine, prioritize enhancements, translate business requirements and direct specialized support partners.
- Identify and scale practical automation, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve business visibility, decision making, and operating efficiency.
- Manage IT vendors, software licensing, contracts, and technology expenditures across sites. Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive technology experience combining hands-on execution, business systems work, and third-party service management, ideally in a manufacturing or operations intensive environment.
- Demonstrated curiosity about business operations and the ability to learn how manufacturing, supply chain, finance, quality and commercial processes interact; able to translate that understanding into practical technology priorities and solutions.
- Broad technical expertise across Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, cloud services, networking, and cybersecurity (firewalls, endpoint protection, PIM/PAM).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, directory services, and collaboration platforms, with the ability to administer critical needs directly when appropriate and to effectively govern third-party administrators and service providers.
- Demonstrated experience implementing or supporting ERP systems; familiarity with Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) is preferred.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple vendor workstreams and lead through influence without direct authority.
- Relevant technical, project management, or ERP certifications are preferred.
- Willingness to travel between the Pittsburgh and Palm Bay plant locations up to 25% of the time.
