Role:
The Director of Technology will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of technology initiatives that align with the organization's business goals within the information industry. This role is responsible for overseeing the technology infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable systems that support operational excellence and innovation. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation, enhance cybersecurity measures, and optimize technology investments. They will also manage and mentor a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Ultimately, the Director of Technology will serve as a key leader in shaping the company's technological vision and maintaining its competitive edge in the marketplace.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 8 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles within the information industry. Proven experience managing complex IT projects and leading cross-functional technology teams. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and cybersecurity principles. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Experience with cloud computing platforms, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or ITIL are highly desirable. Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with a focus on emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive technology strategies that support business objectives and growth. Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, applications, and security protocols. Lead and manage technology teams, providing guidance, performance management, and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to identify technology needs and deliver innovative solutions. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in information security. Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and optimize cost-efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, scalability, and user experience. Monitor emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
