Job Purpose:
- The IT Infrastructure Lead at Sure Steel Inc is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's IT infrastructure to ensure its reliability, security, and scalability.
This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, developing strategic plans for infrastructure growth, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize technology resources in alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the IT infrastructure team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of productivity and professional growth.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for IT infrastructure that align with the company's business goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of network systems, servers, storage, and other infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure by implementing best practices and staying informed about emerging threats and technologies.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure the procurement of necessary hardware and software resources within budgetary constraints.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Prepare and manage the budget for IT infrastructure, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to recommend and implement innovative technologies that drive business success.
Qualifications Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or a similar role.
- Proven experience in leading and managing IT teams.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing IT infrastructure strategies.
- Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with network and security management.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficient in IT infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, and networking.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
