IT Manager | Onsite in Virginia Beach, VA |
Pay:
140k - 150k/yr | Permanent Position Job Description The IT Manager is responsible for leading and integrating all facets of IT, from infrastructure design and security to application development, information management, architecture, and process engineering. The role involves partnering with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to develop and execute strategic project and process plans. The IT Manager is tasked with acquiring and managing resources, approving technical approaches that reduce risk, and modernizing the company's technology portfolio. Additionally, this position ensures the cybersecurity of the company, supporting the FSO and maintaining the requisite CMMC compliance level. Responsibilities Create a technology roadmap that outlines strategic direction for IT initiatives, technology investments, and project timelines. Manage the design, implementation, and modification of IT projects, coordinating resources, overseeing schedules, and managing changes, risks, and costs. Lead the IT team by coaching and mentoring team members to develop their skills and ensure fulfilling and motivated careers. Manage the IT budget and allocate resources for projects and operational needs. Drive the integration and maintenance of enterprise IT systems and cyber systems, ensuring adherence to best practices in secure development, automation, and networking. Implement and manage security measures to protect IT systems and data, including regular risk assessments, audits, and disaster recovery plans. Collaborate with the FSO to ensure IT network compliance with CMMC and support security reviews and self-inspections. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Stay updated with new technology and make recommendations as appropriate. Essential Skills At least 5 years of leadership experience. 5-10 years of total experience in IT roles. Experience with CMMC and achieving level 2 certifications. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Proven track record in policy review, leadership advising, and engineering solutions implementation according to NIST and CMMC. Additional Skills & Qualifications Master's degree preferred. CISSP certification is highly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Work Environment This position requires working 5 days onsite with some flexibility, though weekly flexibility may be limited. The IT Manager will oversee one IT technical & security specialist with potential to expand the team later in the year. Daily responsibilities include obtaining CMMC level 2 certification, managing hands-on duties such as transitioning away from a managed service provider, and managing team activities. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Virginia Beach, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
