Bellevue Children's Academy/Willows Preparatory School (Redmond WA), a growing International Baccalaureate World School consortium, seeks qualified candidates for an Information Technology Director. The IT Director is a creative and dynamic leader charged with developing and implementing a strategic vision in all areas of technology for the school consortium. This position will facilitate the integration of digital tools and best practices into instruction and administrative systems. Both a big picture thinker and a hands-on implementer, the IT Director engages with administrators, educators and IT contractors, parents and students to extend responsible and creative use of technology.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic vision for the use of technology in both the academic and infrastructural systems. Oversee all administrative aspects of technology programs and services at the School; including infrastructure implementation and maintenance, support of educators and staff in the use of different area of technology. Provide current, cutting-edge information to support decision-making on academic and administrative technology matters. Possess a security mind set to lead International Schools Partnership (ISP Group) cyber security strategy across the school consortium. In collaboration with the administrative team, support professional development of staff on the integration of technology into the curriculum, and provide direct professional development and technical assistance to school staff as needed. Ensure that all educators and students have access to the appropriate technology tools to perform their tasks with the best possible efficiency and ease of access. Own the implementation and installation of new equipment for staff and students. Perform proper troubleshooting and maintenance work and determine whether a problem needs outside help or can be fixed in-house. Professionally represent the school in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students regarding the use of technology and resolve conflicts in a professional manner. Our Ideal Candidate is accomplished at the following technical skills: Wired and wireless Infrastructure management. (HP Aruba, Cisco Meraki is preferred) Windows server operating system and Domain Controllers. Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Routing and Firewalls. Experience with VPN - IP-Sec tunnel. Root cause analyses and technical troubleshooting. Deep knowledge in managing
IP - PABX.
Virtual environment and Backup (VMware, Hyper-V preferred). Extensive experience in managing O365 Platform, Experience in O365 for Education is preferred.
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years' experience in the technology field, and 5 years of experience in a technology managerial position. B.S or Equivalent Degree in the field of Computer/Technology.
