Job Title:
Datacenter Lead Location(s): Madison, WI Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day data center operations, ensuring high availability, security, compliance, and efficient delivery of infrastructure services. Leads operational teams, manages escalations, and coordinates maintenance, upgrades, and facility activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate data center operations, including server, storage, network, and middleware support.
Manage incidents, service requests, changes, and escalations to meet SLA targets.
Oversee installations, decommissions, migrations, and capacity planning.
Ensure compliance with operational, security, and audit requirements.
Coordinate maintenance activities, patching, and infrastructure upgrades.
Manage vendor relationships and support onsite logistics.
Maintain operational documentation, inventory, and asset records.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to data center technicians and engineers.
Maintain, manage and support client facing relationship with Datacenter Director.
Required Skills
5+ years of data center operations or infrastructure support experience.
Strong knowledge of server, storage, network, power, and cooling systems.
Experience with incident, change, and problem management processes.
Understanding of data center security, compliance, and business continuity practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Success Measures
SLA compliance and service availability.
Effective incident and escalation management.
Successful execution of maintenance and infrastructure projects.
Audit readiness and operational compliance.
