$60,000-$70,000, non-negotiable outside of the range. Summary The IT Director will be responsible for coordinating & leading all network, computer & system-related activities for Information Technology & the college. Leadership & Supervision Develop a strategy and vision as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes both a departmental and college roadmap that can be translated into actionable goals. Lead planning and management of IT projects. Determine timeframes for system updates, upgrades, outages and ensure effective communication to campus. Provide effective leadership to IT staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment and ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards. Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to guide the professional development of team members. Facilitate regular team meetings to share updates, discuss challenges, and promote knowledge sharing among team members. Collaborate with key stakeholders to align IT initiatives with broader organizational objectives. Security Management/Network Administration Develop, implement, and continuously enhance comprehensive security policies and procedures to safeguard the College's digital assets and ensure state and federal compliance. Oversee incident response activities, promptly responding to security alerts generated by the EDR system and other security platforms. Maintain a proactive stance in identifying and addressing potential security vulnerabilities and threats to the College's information systems. Lead the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and incident response plans, ensuring the College's ability to recover swiftly from security incidents. Collaborate with Information Security Lead to oversee network security protocols, including firewall configurations, access control lists, intrusion prevention, and monitoring. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, ensuring high availability and performance. Develop and enforce security awareness programs, ensuring end-users are well-informed on best practices for maintaining a secure computing environment. Collaborate with external security entities and vendors to stay abreast of emerging threats and industry best practices. Develop and enforce access control policies, identity management, and encryption protocols regularly to align with security requirements. Includes cloud-based services Manage security measures for Microsoft 365, including monitoring alerts for risky sign-ins and respond to incidents related to email security, such as phishing attempts and compromised accounts. Implement and manage the Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect web applications from various cyber threats, ensuring robust security. Implement and manage cloud-based backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and compliance with retention policies. System Administration Oversee system administration of all servers, including Active Directory, storage systems, and virtualization technologies. Lead the planning, deployment, and optimization of server infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability. Conduct regular assessments of server health, capacity, and resource utilization, initiating upgrades or optimizations as needed. Oversee the management of spam filtering systems, ensuring effective identification and prevention of unwanted emails. Manage sender policy framework (SPF), DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), and Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC) records to enhance email authentication and prevent email spoofing. Oversee backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity. Other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 4+ years of directly related work experience; OR Associate's degree in a related field with 6+ years of technical experience. Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job responsibilities may be considered. Good customer service skills are required.
