Renewal by Andersen of Wyoming, Montana and Rapid City is currently hiring for the position of IT Manager. Renewal by Andersen is the Full-Service Window & Patio Door Replacement Division of Andersen which has been manufacturing windows and doors for over 115 years.
Primary responsibilities include:
The purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate, and direct computer-related activities to ensure IT systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with business goals. This involves managing outsourced IT staff and vendors, overseeing the IT budget, and leading projects related to software implementation, server maintenance, network infrastructure, and system upgrades. They are also responsible for implementing policies, providing user support, and maintaining the overall technology infrastructure. The primary responsibilities of this role include: Oversee daily operations of server, hardware, software, network infrastructure, and data security. Ensure systems are running smoothly, securely, and reliably. Develop and adhere to IT budget , which includes managing costs for hardware, software, and other IT-related expenses. Asset management including vendor selection, procurement, disbursement, asset tagging, proper disposal, and inventory management. Licensing management for operating systems, productivity software, security, and other third-party applications. Helpdesk support including phone/email/remote desktop and onsite support, verifying updates, system health monitoring, storage capacity, as well as break-fix support. Manage network security and backups (cloud and on-premises with integrity verification), antivirus updates and settings, spam filtering, phishing protection, cybersecurity awareness training.
Onboarding / Offboarding
employees' logins, emails, CRM access, and other IT assets as needed. IT policy development, documentation, and implementation, including network diagrams and best practices to align technology with the company's goals. This may involve identifying opportunities for improvement and updating software and systems. Lead and manage IT projects from planning through implementation, including system updates, upgrades, and platform migrations. Liaise with third party vendors including Internet Service Providers, VOIP Phone System, Equipment and Software Suppliers, GPS Fleet Tracker, Cell Phones, Tablets (iPad), CRM, and other IT Support Service firms. Select, train, evaluate, and supervise the work of IT personnel, such as an IT Support Specialist. Other IT-related tasks as assigned.
Position Requires the following skills:
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows and Windows Server ), web-based collaborative and document management platform ( SharePoint ), computer hardware, software installation, license management ( Office 365, Adobe Pro ), network management, and cybersecurity fundamentals is crucial. Ability to diagnose problems quickly and efficiently. Clear communication skills to assist users effectively via phone, email, or in person. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Able to work with sensitive, proprietary, or confidential information. Able to work with cross-functional teams involving executive level members as well as support staff. Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift and move packages or equipment weighing at least 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology required. A minimum of five years of experience is required. One or more of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
