We are currently accepting resumes for a full-time Technical Designer/Project Manager specializing in signage and architectural enhancement projects. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and design aptitude with exceptional project management skills. They can interpret architectural drawings, understand structural and fabrication requirements, and confidently manage projects from concept through installation while coordinating effectively with designers, production teams, clients, and vendors. They are equally adept at seeing the big picture and managing the details, distilling complex information into clear, actionable plans while understanding how design, engineering, permitting, fabrication, scheduling, and installation decisions impact one another. Proactive, solutions-oriented, and highly organized, they anticipate challenges, adapt as projects evolve, and successfully balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is also a collaborative team player who is willing to support the design department wherever needed—from preparing material samples, permit submittals, and project documentation to assisting with design development and other day-to-day tasks that contribute to the successful delivery of each project. This is a full-time, in-office position. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Understanding of simple structural design principles and fabrication methods Knowledge of construction materials, manufacturing processes, and installation techniques Familiarity with building codes, ADA requirements, and applicable sign codes Understanding of engineering coordination and permit processes Technical problem-solving and critical thinking Managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously Strong verbal and written communication Highly organized and detail-oriented Self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability Able to work independently and collaboratively Committed to continuous improvement Proficient in Microsoft Office in a macOS environment Strong proficiency in the following programs: Adobe Illustrator, ideally with experience using CADtools AutoCad Proficiency in SketchUp and/or Revit is a plus
Compensation:
$30.00 - $50.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
