Seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager based in Santa Clara, CA with 15+ years of experience to lead complex enterprise technology programs, software development initiatives, engineering design business process improvements, and digital transformation efforts in a global, technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering and/or computer science foundation, deep understanding of software product development, and a proven track record leading global cross-functional teams across business, engineering, IT, architecture, operations, vendors, and executive stakeholders. # Qualifications
    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field required.
      Experience:
      15+ years of program/project management experience in a technology, engineering, manufacturing, semiconductor, or enterprise IT environment.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with competing priorities, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
      • Strong technical fluency with the ability to translate complex engineering and IT concepts into clear business language for senior stakeholders.
      • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
      • Experience managing global, cross-functional and matrixed project teams across different time zones.
      • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and related reporting platforms.
      • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum, SAFe, Prosci, ITIL, Six Sigma, or related certifications are a plus.
      • Experience with Product lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, MCAD/ECAD applications and project managements tools. # Technical Skillset

      Project, Smartsheet # Key Responsibilities
      • Engage closely with engineering, product development, IT, and business leadership to identify opportunities for automation, system modernization, application improvement, and business process solutions that improve engineering productivity, design quality, and operational efficiency.
      • Develop project and program plans from conception through implementation, including scope, milestones, dependencies, delivery strategy, governance, processes, resource plans, financials, risk controls, and stakeholder engagement models.
      • Ensure effective and efficient execution of projects and programs within established guardrails of scope, schedule, budget, quality, security, and compliance.
      • Translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps, integrated plans, release milestones, and measurable success criteria.
      • Lead multifunctional design, architecture, development, integration, testing, deployment, and change management teams composed of internal, external, and matrixed resources.
      • Drive allocated resources across organizations to achieve delivery objectives, resolve resource constraints, and maintain on-time and within-budget performance.
      • Partner with line managers, competency centers, resource management, vendors, and product/service owners to secure resources, confirm priorities, remove blockers, and escalate decisions when needed.
      • Manage project financial processes, including budget tracking, capital allocation requests, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor spend, forecast updates, and financial escalations.
      • Conduct project reviews, steering committee updates, executive readouts, release readiness reviews, and post-implementation reviews to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
      • Track execution metrics, compliance metrics, risks, issues, decisions, change requests, dependencies, and benefits realization. Provide regular status and feedback to stakeholders.
      • Interface with internal customers, business owners, engineering teams, and vendors to define objectives, clarify requirements, provide delivery updates, prepare releases, and support adoption.
      • Provide engineering application and business process expertise to project teams on significantly complex programs, integrations, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
      • Identify and resolve potential complications within the program, develop options and recommendations, and drive decisions to closure.
      • Mentor and coach project managers, scrum masters, business analysts, and team leads. Serve as a subject matter expert in project/program management practices. # Miscellaneous Skillset
      • Enterprise project/program governance, SDLC practices, portfolio reporting, risk management, dependency management, and executive communication.
      • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments while maintaining strong alignment across leadership, business owners, technical teams, and vendors.
      • Strong presentation skills with the ability to prepare crisp executive-level updates, decision papers, business cases, and delivery roadmaps. # Education and Experience
      Education:
      Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field required. Advanced degree or business/technology management education is preferred.
        Experience:
        15+ years of relevant project/program management experience, including leadership of complex enterprise technology, engineering application, product development, or digital transformation programs. # Location

        Salary Range:
        $163,000.00 - $224,000.00 The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
