Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support complex, high-visibility hardware development programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Technical Project Manager will play a key supporting role to Program Managers, helping drive execution across Cable Backplane Systems production test and signal integrity initiatives while developing into a full program ownership capacity. This is a full-time position, and the Technical Project Manager will sit onsite in Santa Clara CA. Responsibilities of the
Technical Project Manager:
Support planning, budgeting, and execution of complex new product development projects in a high-change environment Act as a communication bridge between internal teams and Program Managers to ensure alignment on schedules, deliverables, and priorities Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to keep programs on track Monitor project scope, timelines, and financials while escalating risks, resource gaps, and delays Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and support readiness for production, capacity planning, and system setup Qualifications of theTechnical Project Manager:
2+ years of experience in project coordination or management within a manufacturing, hardware, or mechanical environment Proven ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, unstructured, and high-pressure settings with shifting priorities Demonstrated ability to communicate across technical teams and interpret engineering drawings and specification PMP certification preferred Willingness to travel 50-60% initially Compensation for the Technical Project Manager includes: Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 annually Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k and holidays This job opens for applications on 08/30/2026.
