Location:
Vacaville, CA This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards. The Senior Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing capital and expense (non-capital) projects at the Vacaville site. This role is accountable for the safe and successful delivery of projects while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, quality, and corporate requirements, including cGMP standards, risk management, schedule adherence, and budget performance. The Senior Project Manager partners closely with Global Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders within Vacaville Facilities & Engineering (F&E), Manufacturing, Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT), Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Quality, and other site organizations to plan, coordinate, and execute projects that support site operational and strategic objectives. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, resource coordination, risk mitigation, and communication to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business priorities. What you will get The full-time base annual salary for this position is expected to range between $130,500 to $217,500. In addition, below you will find a comprehensive summary of the benefits package we offer: Performance-related bonus Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) matching plan Life insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee assistance programs Paid Time Off What you will do Manage capital projects including facility modifications, manufacturing upgrades, automation, equipment lifecycle replacements, tech transfers, and new construction.Oversee all project phases:
planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and governance requirements. Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, procurement, legal, and senior leadership. Proactively manage project risks, resources, contracts, and change control processes. Drive continuous improvement in project management and execution practices. Support global engineering initiatives by serving as a User Team Lead when needed. What we look for Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Proven experience managing engineering and capital projects in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical/biotech environment. Strong knowledge of project management, construction, commissioning, and contractor management. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
