Founder About Capx Capx is building the workforce network platform of the future — connecting people and work in ways that legacy platforms weren't built to do. We've raised our seed round and are moving fast to build out the product. Capx is live on web, iOS, and Android, currently in active beta with 400+ daily users. We're looking for someone to own product execution, work daily alongside our founder, and bring real technical judgment to a growing engineering team. The Role We're hiring a Technical Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution while managing our team of 5+ remote developers. You'll work on-site, side-by-side with the founder every day, and lead our daily standup with the engineering team. You'll be joining a product that's already live and in active use — not a pre-launch concept — so you'll be balancing beta feedback and real user data against the roadmap from day one. You need enough hands-on technical background to know when a timeline, excuse, or technical explanation doesn't add up — this is not a role for someone who takes engineering estimates at face value. You should also be comfortable prompting AI tools like Claude directly to make changes, generate solutions, or speed up delivery yourself when needed. What You'll Do Work on-site daily, directly alongside the founder, on product strategy and priorities Run daily standups with our remote development team Own the product roadmap and translate company goals into engineering priorities across web, iOS, and Android Manage sprint planning, backlog, and task tracking in Jira (or similar tool) Manage a team of ~5+ remote developers — estimation review, technical accountability Gather requirements from stakeholders, the founder, and active beta users, and translate them into clear, actionable tickets Monitor beta usage and feedback from our 400+ daily active users to inform priorities Identify project risks early, develop mitigation plans, and communicate impacts clearly Oversee test cases and user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm features meet the bar before release Push back on architecture decisions, timelines, or technical explanations when something doesn't hold up Guide UX/UI direction across our web, iOS, and Android products Oversee ongoing development of our native iOS and Android apps Direct the build-out of AI-native features using Claude and agentic AI workflows Use AI tools (Claude, etc.) directly to prompt changes, prototype solutions, or push through blockers without waiting on the dev team Set and track metrics that show whether the product is working Be the founder's trusted read on whether the engineering team is on track — for real What We're Looking For 3+ years hands-on experience as a software engineer or developer, followed by a move into product management Proven experience managing engineering teams and product roadmaps, ideally at an early-stage startup Practical experience with Agile/Scrum and Kanban methodologies, and comfort running sprints in Jira or a similar tool Ability to evaluate technical timelines, architecture trade-offs, and engineering excuses with real scrutiny Comfortable managing a remote development team and working daily 9am ET hours Hands-on comfort prompting AI tools (Claude or similar) to make changes, prototype, or troubleshoot directly Solid grasp of UX/UI principles Understanding of mobile app development (iOS and Android) Working knowledge of AI/LLM concepts and agentic AI, enough to direct a team building with Claude or similar platforms Comfortable being the founder's primary technical judgment call, daily, with no engineering team backing every decision Nice to Have Computer science background or equivalent hands-on coding experience Experience with the Claude API / Agent SDK Experience taking a product from beta to scale Experience managing remote/distributed engineering teams specifically What You Get Fair compensation, benefits, and equity Daily, direct partnership with the founder — real influence over product and company direction Ownership of a live product with real users at a critical early stage
