Americas division comprises companies in North, Central, and South America. The division manufactures and sells door opening solutions: locks, cylinders, electromechanical products, security doors and fittings. The America's division is in the process of consolidating ERP systems throughout all Business Units onto the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP platform.

Americas is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead the administration and delivery of a portfolio of projects related to Shared Services Applications. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end project execution, partnering with project stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with the division's strategic roadmap for application change, conversion, and implementation initiatives. The IT Project Manager will collaborate with PMO, solution architects, functional leads, business stakeholders and external consultants to successfully deliver projects that enhance and sustain ASSA ABLOY's IT structures, processes, and business outcomes. This role requires ownership of projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with defined scope and quality standards. This position will be based full-time onsite at our New Haven, CT location. What you will be doing The IT Project Manager leads the full lifecycle of Shared Services projects.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Partner with business leaders, vendors, and technical teams to define project objectives and deliverables Own and manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality Develop and maintain detailed project plans Manage project data and artifacts (tasks, RAID logs, resources, and deliverables) Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate internal and external resources Partner with stakeholders across business leadership, executive teams, project teams, and end users Identify project dependencies, risks, and issues, and implementing mitigation strategies Facilitate meetings, workshops, and decision-making sessions; documenting outcomes and action items Facilitate project governance, status reporting, steering committee updates, and executive communications, including progress, risks, and key decisions Manage change requests, project dependencies, and escalation processes Coordinate testing, training, deployment, and post-implementation support activities Drive successful project handoff and transition to support or operations teams Follow PMO methodology and tools around project governance Support process improvements and implementation of project management best practices Mentor junior project managers and project coordinators as needed Interface with Shared Services technology teams and external managed service providers Collaborate across functional areas including JD Edwards, infrastructure, business intelligence, e-commerce/EDI, and supply management What we are looking for
Skills and Qualifications Required:
7+ years of experience in project management (IT or business projects preferred) Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches Proven experience delivering large-scale technology implementations and system integrations Experience with implementations of ERP (JDE, SAP, Oracle, etc.) Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Demonstrated experience in risk management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language Experience leading meetings, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration sessions Experience managing cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, or similar platforms Ability to work in a collaborative, shared-services environment across multiple business units Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without needing sponsorship now or in the future Additional skills desired: Familiarity with enterprise systems such as JD Edwards Experience in manufacturing, distribution, finance, or enterprise operations environments Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management practices Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party implementations
Travel:
