Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate a variety of initiatives, including new and ongoing projects. This role will involve overseeing IT infrastructure efforts, database migrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. This is a Contract to permanent position based in New London, Connecticut, with occasional onsite visits required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
- Collaborate with executives, stakeholders, and the board to present project updates and secure alignment.
- Coordinate vendor selection processes and oversee vendor management to ensure quality deliverables.
- Work closely with technical teams, including developers and analysts, to facilitate project requirements and execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all project phases, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Utilize Smartsheets or similar project management tools to track progress and manage resources.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels across teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
- Monitor and assess project performance, making adjustments as necessary to achieve goals. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with executives, stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Proven experience in vendor selection and management.
- Proficiency with Smartsheets or comparable project management tools.
- Exceptional organizational and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure projects and database migrations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
