Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Director, Clinical Applications of Stamford Health, the Director of Clinical Applications designs, implements, operates, and optimizes all application strategies for acute care/hospital-based areas within Stamford Health. In this role, the Director collaborates with all levels of the organization, including the Executive Team, to ensure applications come together to achieve the performance goals of the organization while maintaining the appropriate stability and long-term strategy.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, develop, train, and retain staff ensuring they have the skills and tools to do their job. Monitor and continuously improve processes to ensure the organization's objectives are met. Measure performance and use that information to develop your team and processes. Provide strategic vision and leadership for the development, advancement, and support of Stamford Health's application teams. Measure and report on all activity to ensure visibility into effectiveness and overall impact on business operations and communicate results to executive leadership. Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans for technology administration, adoption and use including Artificial Intelligence (AI). Implement and promote awareness of all technology in use with ongoing training. Collaborate with the CISO on enterprise-wide risk including policy & procedures, audits, enhancements, and recurring testing, including emergency preparedness. Monitor all project, request and incident throughput of the team to ensure SLAs are met. Perform regular system audits/reviews to ensure proper administration of security policies, activities, and standards. Develop, monitor, and control a budget in line with the organization's objectives, including review of contracts to ensure compliance within our environment. Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required (Masters Preferred), preferably in computer science or related field Minimum 5 years' experience managing applications (Healthcare preferred) Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development. Excellent knowledge of enterprise applications (i.e. Epic); acute care/hospital applications preferred Excellent understanding of project management principles including proven experience in planning, organization, and development.
