Information Technology Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent client projects across AI, IT, and software development initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and client management — translating complex technical requirements into actionable project plans and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients while coordinating internal engineering, development, and consulting teams. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, hands-on project management experience, and a passion for driving measurable outcomes across a diverse portfolio of technology engagements. Beyond client project leadership, you'll also support light operational work within our Acumatica ERP environment — assisting with workflow configuration, light administration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Our Ideal Candidate:
You are an organized, detail-oriented operator who blends technical fluency with strong client-facing instincts. You are comfortable running Agile/Scrum cycles one day and rolling up your sleeves on ERP workflow tweaks the next. You thrive in fast-paced, multi-project environments where prioritization, ownership, and clear communication matter — and you take pride in being the connective tissue between clients, engineers, and leadership.
Required Qualifications and Skills Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of technical project management experience, ideally within a consulting, agency, or IT services environment managing multiple client projects simultaneously.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required). Strong technical background with the ability to read SOWs, evaluate scope, write clear acceptance criteria, and challenge vague or incomplete requirements. Hands-on experience leading Agile/Scrum cycles, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews. Proficient with project management tools such as Monday.com, ClickUp, Azure DevOps, etc.. Demonstrated success managing AI, IT, software development, or systems implementation projects. Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills, including delivering status updates, escalations, and tough conversations without losing trust. Excellent organizational, time management, and risk identification skills across concurrent workstreams. Familiarity with Acumatica ERP (or comparable ERP platform) is a plus — willingness to learn is required. Exposure to AI/ML projects, prompt engineering, or LLM integrations is a strong plus. Development principals and languages (C#, SQL, Python) a plus.
Key Roles and Responsibilities Client Project Leadership:
Manage 4-8 active client projects concurrently across AI implementations, custom software development, and Acumatica ERP engagements — owning scope, timeline, budget, and quality from kickoff through closeout.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact through status calls, written updates, escalations, and expectation setting throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements Translation:
Translate client business needs into clear technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and detailed project plans for engineering and development teams.
Agile Delivery:
Lead Agile methodology including sprint planning, standups, and reviews.
Project Governance:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation, ensuring visibility for both internal teams and clients.
Risk & Issue Management:
Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and blockers — escalate early and drive timely resolution to keep delivery on track.
Acumatica ERP Support:
Provide light hands-on support within Acumatica, including workflow configuration, light admin tasks, and assisting with internal optimization initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with engineers, developers, designers, and consultants to align resources, sequence priorities, and remove blockers.
Resource & Budget Tracking:
Monitor team capacity, project hours, and budget burn — flag variance and recommend corrective action before issues compound.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to refining internal project management processes, templates, and best practices as the team and client portfolio scale.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
Benefits:
401(k) Dental insurance
Work Location:
In person
