Job Description

  • Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a Director of ERP and Business Applications who will own the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of our internal business applications portfolio, with primary accountability for our ERP platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and FO.
This role is responsible for ensuring that business applications are fit for purpose, secure, scalable, and continuously improving, enabling operational excellence across the organization. The ERP is currently being deployed, and this role will lead the transition from implementation into stabilization, optimization, and ongoing enhancement. In addition to ERP, this role oversees all divisional/regionally managed cloud platforms. This position will lead solution management as well as possibly the IT PMO depending on the needs of the organization.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • 1.
ERP & Business Application Ownership Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of internal business applications, with primary focus on D365
CE and FO:
+ Implementation of a harmonized ERP for recently merged businesses + Post‑deployment stabilization, operational readiness, and adoption + Ongoing enhancements, roadmap planning, and release management + Alignment of application capabilities to evolving business processes + Data integrity, integration quality, and reporting effectiveness + Rationalization of processes, data models, and application usage across merged organizations Act as the business and technology owner for ERP, balancing functional needs, technical feasibility, and long‑term sustainability. 1. Solution Architecture & Application Management + Lead solution architecture and application management for ERP and business applications, ensuring solutions meet business requirements while remaining secure, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Responsibilities include:
+ Own solution design decisions for ERP, integrations, automations, and business applications + Translating business requirements into fit‑for‑purpose solution designs and prioritized application backlogs + Defining integration patterns, data flows, and application interfaces aligned to ERP and enterprise architecture + Governing configuration versus customization decisions to minimize long‑term technical debt + Overseeing configuration, customization, and integration delivery across internal and vendor‑led teams + Ensuring solutions are documented, operationally ready, and supportable post‑implementation Ensure applications are: + Secure by design + Well‑documented + Supportable and maintainable + Aligned with enterprise architecture principles 1. Portfolio & Vendor Management Own the application portfolio not managed by Bosch Corporate, including: + SaaS platforms (e.g.,Fieldwire, Autodesk Construction Cloud) + Specialized line‑of‑business systems + Supporting integrations and data flows Responsibilities include: + Vendor selection, contract oversight, and performance management + Cost optimization and licensing governance + Roadmap alignment and dependency management + Escalations and issue resolution 1. Automation, AI Enablement & Citizen Development Governance Align and support the ERP for automation and AI enablement, ensuring data, integrations, and architecture support future AI capabilities + Enablebusinessled automation and AIassistedworkflows using low‑code tools to improve productivity and operational efficiency + Support a citizen developeroperatingmodel, allowing teams and departments to independently build automations, reports, and lightweight solutions + Establish and enforce governance, guardrails, and standards for automation, AI usage, data access, security, and lifecycle management + Ensure visibility, risk management, and alignmentof these initiativeswith enterprise architecture and cybersecurity expectations + Focus areas include Power Platform, D365 Copilot capabilities, reporting automation, and workflow orchestration while explicitly avoiding unmanaged shadow IT 1. Program & PMO Leadership (as applicable) Potentially lead or oversee IT Project Management Office, including: + Application and ERP‑related programs and initiatives + Standardized project delivery methods and governance + Cross‑functional coordination with Finance, Operations, and Corporate IT + Risk, dependency, and change management + Ensure predictable delivery while supporting an environment of continuous improvement. 1. Due Diligence & M&A Support Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures by leading application and ERP focused due diligence activities, including: + Assessing ERP platforms, business applications, and data landscapes of target entities + Identifyingapplication risks, integration complexity, and technical debt + Evaluating SaaS vendors, licensing obligations, and contract implications + Providing input on post close ERP and application integration strategies, costs, and timelines + Partnering with Corporate IT, Finance, Security, and Enterprise Architecture during diligence and integration planning 1. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Provide leadership and stakeholder alignment to ensure business applications are delivered effectively, adopted successfully, and governed with clear accountability across the organization. + Build and lead a high‑performing applications and solutions team + Serve as the primary interface between business leaders, IT, and vendors + Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders on value, risk, and priorities + Establish clear ownership, accountability, and operating rhythms
  • Supervisor Duties:

  • Required Qualifications:
  • + 8+ years in enterprise applications, ERP, or business systems, with senior leadership experience + Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and/or FO (implementation, enhancement, or ownership) + Strong understanding of ERP lifecycle management + Proven vendor and partner management experience + Experience is supporting a citizen development environment and governance + Applied AIliteracy,understandingpractical AI use cases, limitations, and risks in enterprise environments + Solid business acumen across finance, operations, and project delivery + Strong communicationskills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders + Practical understanding of cybersecurity principles in enterprise applications •
Preferred Qualifications:
  • + Experience leading or governing a PMO + Background in multi‑site or operationally complex organizations + Experience with construction, engineering, or project‑centric ERP models + Familiarity with cloud‑first, API‑driven application architectures
