Job Description
Technical Project Manager
- Equity Derivatives Technology / Pricing or Risk Hybrid Jersey City Strong understanding of equity derivatives vanilla and exotic products, Greeks, risk sensitivities ## Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our Equity Derivatives Technology team.
- ## Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Own end-to-end project planning, execution and delivery across the equity derivatives technology portfolio
- Manage dependencies, risks and issues across concurrent workstreams
- Define and maintain project schedules, milestones and resource plans
- Drive delivery against regulatory deadlines with zero tolerance for slippage
- Stakeholder Management
- Produce clear, concise status reporting tailored to business and senior management audiences
- Run steering committees and working group meetings with front office, risk, finance and operations stakeholders
- Translate technical constraints and delivery timelines into business language
- Manage expectations proactively escalate early, never late
- JIRA & Delivery Governance
- Own and maintain the team's JIRA project structure epics, stories, sprints and backlogs
- Define and enforce JIRA hygiene standards across the team
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for velocity, burn-down and release tracking
- Drive sprint ceremonies planning, review and retrospectives
- Risk & Regulatory Awareness
- Understand the downstream impact of EOD pricing and risk processes on regulatory reporting (e.g. FRTB, SIMM, Basel)
- Coordinate releases around EOD batch windows and regulatory submission deadlines
- Work closely with quant, development and operations teams on production stability
- ## Required Experience
- 7+ years project management experience in a capital markets technology environment
- Strong understanding of equity derivatives vanilla and exotic products, Greeks, risk sensitivities
- Proven experience managing technology projects with regulatory drivers
- Expert-level JIRA project configuration, dashboards, JQL, automation rules
- Track record of reporting to MD/Director-level business stakeholders
- Experience working within Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks
- ## Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to EOD batch processing and risk aggregation platforms
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks FRTB, CCAR, Basel IV
- PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification
- Experience with Confluence for documentation and governance
- Background working alongside quantitative development or analytics teams
