The SAP Platform Manager is a strategic and technical leader responsible for the architecture, governance, and evolution of Rumpke's SAP platform. This role ensures SAP capabilities align with enterprise business processes while delivering scalable, integrated, and high-value solutions across the organization. The SAP Platform Manager defines the platform vision, architectural standards, and solution patterns that guide SAP development and implementation efforts. Working closely with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams, this role ensures SAP investments support operational efficiency, business process integration, and long-term platform sustainability. The ideal candidate combines deep SAP functional expertise with strong enterprise solution design skills and the ability to guide cross-functional teams in delivering integrated SAP capabilities.
Responsibilities of Position:
Define and maintain the long-term SAP platform architecture and technology roadmap Establish solution design standards, architectural principles, and functional integration patterns for SAP solutions Serve as the design authority for SAP initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy Govern functional solution designs across SAP modules to ensure scalability, sustainability, and cross-module consistency Identify and manage architectural risks, integration dependencies, and technical debt within the SAP landscape Design end-to-end SAP solutions across multiple functional domains including Finance, Procurement, and Materials Management Translate business requirements into integrated SAP solution designs that align with platform standards and business goals Lead solution architecture efforts for SAP implementations, enhancements, and S/4HANA initiatives Ensure cross-functional business process alignment across SAP modules and enterprise systems Review and validate functional designs to ensure consistency, quality, and maintainability Partner with business leaders, product owners, and delivery teams to define SAP-enabled business capabilities Facilitate alignment across functional stakeholders on business process design and system capabilities Advise leadership on SAP capabilities, architectural trade-offs, and solution roadmap options Support key implementation activities including testing strategy, cutover planning, and go-live readiness from a solution perspective Perform other duties as needed

Position:
8+ years of SAP functional, solution architecture, or platform design experience 3+ years in a lead functional architect, solution architect, or SAP design leadership role Experience designing and delivering integrated SAP solutions in complex enterprise environments SAP certification in relevant functional modules or S/4HANA preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Physical Requirements in a
Regular Workday:
Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10 lbs Frequently sitting/standing/walking
Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:
