(IT) Specialist Westerville, OH, United States Job Description Job Summary Vertiv is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Infrastructure IT Project Manager to join our team. The role will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale capital projects across our Infrastructure IT Portfolio. This role requires a seasoned professional who can drive complex projects from conception through completion while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization. This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Westerville, OH
  • HQ location.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale infrastructure projects including new construction, expansions, renovations, and retrofits of warehouses, manufacturing plants, and industrial facilities
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations for projects ranging from $5M to $100M+
  • Collaborate with Finance teams on capital planning, budget forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting for infrastructure investments
  • Manage relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure quality deliverables, schedule adherence, and cost control
  • Partner with business executives and senior leadership to align facility projects with organizational strategy, growth plans, and operational requirements
  • Oversee procurement processes including RFP development, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and vendor performance management
  • Coordinate with internal infrastructure and engineering teams on mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), structural, and civil design requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and corporate policies
  • Manage project risk identification, mitigation strategies, and issue resolution across all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Provide regular project status reporting to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership presentations
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, standards, and best practices across the facilities portfolio
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget targets
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive project management experience in infrastructure/facilities within a large-scale organization
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects specific to warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and large-scale industrial environments
  • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with:
  • Finance and capital planning teams
  • Infrastructure and engineering departments
  • General contractors and construction teams
  • External vendors and suppliers
  • Business executives and senior leadership
  • Experience managing project budgets of $10M+ with accountability for cost control and financial performance
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building systems, and industrial facility requirements
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required (up to 25-40%)
Preferred Requirements :
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Experience with automation, robotics integration, or advanced manufacturing facility buildouts
