Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated Director of IT Applications . The Director of IT Applications provides leadership for the organization's enterprise applications, database administration, and business systems analysis functions. The role is a senior technology leader responsible for application strategy, delivery, stability, and continuous improvement in support of manufacturing, finance, supply chain, and enterprise operations. This position partners closely with business leadership to ensure applications—particularly Visibility ERP —are reliable, well-aligned with business needs, and positioned to support future growth. The Director is expected to maintain an appropriate hands-on understanding of applications, databases, and business processes to effectively guide solution design, analysis, and issue resolution. Principal Accountabilities Application & Business Systems Leadership Lead enterprise business applications supporting manufacturing, finance, and corporate functions. Partner with business leaders to define application priorities, roadmaps, and solutions. Oversee business systems analysis to ensure accurate requirements and effective solutions. Provide guidance and involvement in complex or high-impact initiatives as appropriate. Evaluate and incorporate AI, Automation, and Advanced Analytics Capabilities into the enterprise application strategy to improve efficiency, insight, and decision-making. Business Systems Analysis Ensure consistent, high-quality business systems analysis across application initiatives. Work with stakeholders to assess business needs, identify gaps, and recommend system improvements. Review and approve functional requirements, solution designs, and validation outcomes. Application Development & Support Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from planning and design through deployment and support Ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives Drive adoption of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices to improve speed and reliability Balance scope, cost, quality, and timeline across programs and portfolios ERP Leadership Provide leadership and oversight for ERP platforms, with strong emphasis on Visibility . Partner with business teams to optimize ERP usage and drive continuous improvement. Lead or support ERP upgrades, enhancements, and integration efforts. Database Administration & Data Integrity Oversee database administration activities supporting enterprise applications. Ensure database performance, security, backup, ETL, and data integrity standards are met. Collaborate with application and reporting teams to ensure reliable and accurate data. Project, Governance & Vendor Management Lead application and data-related projects from planning through post-implementation review. Contribute to IT governance, security, audit, and compliance efforts. Manage relationships with application and database vendors and service providers. Participate in IT leadership escalation and on-call rotation as required. Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications (ERP, databases, project management, or business analysis) preferred. Experience 10+ years of experience in medium-to-large IT environments. 5+ years of experience with ERP environments and applications including implementations, upgrades and support; leading large implementations/conversions a plus Proven leadership of enterprise application teams or portfolios. Extensive experience with ERP/MRP systems , with strong working knowledge of Visibility Experience overseeing database administration and business systems analysis Demonstrated success delivering enterprise application projects in a manufacturing environment. Skills Strong understanding of enterprise applications, ERP systems, databases, and integrations. Ability to balance strategic leadership with appropriate operational involvement.
