Application Engineering Manager Actalent Engineering - 3.5 Reading, PA Job Details Full-time $90,000 - $115,000 a year 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Filing Engineering Technology Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for an Applications Engineering Manager opening with a manufacturer that is located in Reading, PA. This person will enjoy a hybrid schedule and will be responsible for the recommended technical application and technicial success of the HVAC related product line. This person will provide technical support for all internal staff and maintain the technical tools and databases necessary to support customers and maintain the technical superiority in the marketplace. This person will also serve as the company representative regarding outside technical associates and committees. Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position: Serve as the subject matter expert on HVAC related products. Top authority and resource for technical support for all product attributes. Develop technical publications, application bulletins, and in-person presentations as necessary. Assist in the development, direction, review, and approval of new product designs and changes as requested by Sales and Product Management. Represent Brentwood within professional associations. Chairing working committees and publishing technical papers. Provide customer support for the proper selection of products for the customer's specific requirements. Manage product-based documentation. Develop new and update existing documentation, working collaboratively with other internal functions as needed. Be proficient at maintaining and using all in-house sizing and rating software. Identify and evaluate new technology for potential applications. Identify and specify testing requirements to be performed in the test laboratory. Analyze R D data related to CT product line, including fill thermal and pressure drop data for inclusion in rating software and published curves. Work with the marketing department to publish all cooling tower component performance data. Provide appropriate product support in developing solutions to design, production and warranty problems as needed. Travel to trade shows, job sites, and customers as required to assist the BDMs. Provide technical support at these locations as needed. Work with R D, inside sales, BDM's, marketing, and accounting departments as required. Properly document all work, maintain orderly files (electronic and paper) accessible to other service and engineering personnel. Exhibit ability to solve practical problems in situations where only limited information exists. Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees. Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline Minimum of 5 years of experience in applications engineering, product development or technical sales HVAC, cooling tower, or process tooling systems experience
REQUIRED P.E.
licence preferred but not required Previous experience manageing technical-based teams (preferred but not required) Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes (preferred but not required) Willingness/ability to travel as needed (approximately 10%)

$90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
