Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support a growing client in the advanced manufacturing industry in Valley Green, PA. The Technical Program Manager role requires onsite collaboration and significant travel during the initial ramp-up period. The Technical Program Manager role is ideal for an experienced program leader with a strong background in manufacturing, hardware development, and mechanical engineering environments. Responsibilities of the Technical Program Manager include:
- Direct complex hardware and manufacturing programs from development through production while adapting to shifting priorities and business needs.
- Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and customer teams to drive project execution and maintain momentum.
- Lead program reviews, risk assessments, and strategic discussions to ensure informed decision-making and accountability.
- Balance customer expectations with internal capabilities by resolving conflicts and aligning stakeholders on priorities.
- Coordinate activities across domestic and international manufacturing sites to support successful product delivery. Requirements of the Technical Program Manager include:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of Program Management experience supporting manufacturing, hardware, mechanical, or product development initiatives.
- Demonstrated success operating in fast-changing, high-pressure environments with competing priorities and constant change.
- Strong stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel 50-60% to Valley Green, PA and Santa Clara, CA during the initial phase of employment, with 10-20% international travel to manufacturing facilities in Mexico and China. Compensation for the Technical Program Manager include:
- 120,000 - 150,000 annually
