Job Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a growing client in the advanced manufacturing industry in Valley Green, PA. The Technical Project Manager role requires onsite collaboration and frequent travel during the initial onboarding period. The Technical Project Manager role is ideal for an ambitious project professional who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and is looking to grow into a larger program leadership position. Responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager include:
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing and hardware-focused projects while partnering closely with senior Program Managers.
  • Track project milestones, risks, action items, and deliverables across engineering, operations, supply chain, and production teams.
  • Assist with stakeholder communications, ensuring project updates and priorities remain aligned in rapidly changing environments.
  • Identify potential roadblocks and proactively work with internal teams to maintain project momentum and execution.
  • Travel to customer sites and manufacturing locations to support implementation efforts, project reviews, and operational initiatives. Requirements of the Technical Project Manager include:
  • 2+ years of Project Management, Project Coordination, or related experience within manufacturing, engineering, hardware, or technical environments.
  • Proven ability to succeed in chaotic, fast-changing, high-pressure environments with shifting priorities.
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive, dependable, and team-oriented approach to project execution.
  • Comfortable supporting senior Program Managers with the desire to develop into an independent project/program leader.
  • PMP certification preferred and willingness to travel 50-60% domestically initially, with 10-20% international travel to manufacturing facilities in Mexico and China. Compensation for the Technical Project Manager include:
  • $70,000 - $100,000 annually
