This opportunity is ideal for a BIM/VDC professional who enjoys working at the intersection of design, technology, and project execution while helping teams deliver high-quality, coordinated project models and documentation. In this role, you'll serve as a key resource for project teams, helping shape and maintain digital delivery strategies across multidisciplinary projects. You'll work closely with project managers, design professionals, and other digital delivery leaders to drive coordination, improve workflows, and ensure successful project execution from kickoff through closeout. Position Overview We are seeking a
BIM / VDC
Digital Delivery Specialist to lead project-level digital delivery efforts and manage the digital model environment throughout the project lifecycle. This role combines technical expertise, project coordination, and leadership responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on model management and supporting the success of project teams. The ideal candidate has experience supporting architectural, structural, or multidisciplinary building projects and is passionate about leveraging technology to improve project quality, efficiency, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage project-level digital delivery processes and model environments. Collaborate with Project Managers to develop, implement, and maintain Digital Delivery Plans (DDPs). Establish and maintain project model setups, coordinates, scales, orientations, and file structures. Support multidisciplinary project teams by ensuring digital deliverables align with project requirements and milestones. Monitor model health, quality, and coordination from project initiation through construction document issuance. Facilitate digital coordination meetings, design reviews, and 3D coordination efforts. Coordinate the compilation and delivery of project models and digital deliverables at key project milestones. Manage project archiving and closeout procedures. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams. Mentor Digital Delivery Coordinators, Specialists, and project team members. Assist with maintaining document management systems, server infrastructure, and project workflows. Ensure project teams have access to the software, tools, and resources necessary to successfully execute project requirements. Collaborate with other Digital Delivery leaders to share best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required Minimum 10 years of combined experience in BIM modeling, digital design, and digital delivery/model management. Strong understanding of building systems and multidisciplinary project coordination. Advanced proficiency with BIM, 3D design, model management, and coordination tools. Experience managing project models and digital deliverables throughout the full design process. Knowledge of document management systems and digital project workflows. Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, specifications, and BIM best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing abilities. Ability to work independently while supporting and mentoring project teams. Preferred Experience supporting architectural, structural, or multidisciplinary building projects. Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant professional experience. Knowledge of automation tools, scripting, or programming used to improve project efficiency. Experience with BIM content creation, maintenance, and management. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
