K Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to provide immediate delivery leadership during a period of transition within their IT PMO. This role involves taking ownership of a portfolio of active and emerging initiatives, establishing structure and clarity across evolving priorities, and keeping cross-functional teams focused on measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic, hands-on project leader who can operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and build credibility quickly across a global organization.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Lead multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation through transition or closeout Establish project scope, objectives, milestones, workstreams, governance, and decision rights Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and executive dashboards Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests Facilitate project, workstream, steering committee, and vendor meetings Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders across regions and time zones Apply appropriate delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Kanban, or hybrid) based on project needs Manage project documentation using tools such as
Smartsheet, SharePoint, Teams, and Confluence Minimum Requirements:
8 years of project management experience, including complex enterprise IT initiatives Experience with infrastructure and enterprise applications projects Proven experience stabilizing delivery and creating structure in ambiguous or changing environments Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward with limited direction Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with cross-functional teams and vendors Experience working within a global organization, coordinating stakeholders across regions and time zones Strong knowledge of project planning, governance, risk/issue management, change control, and executive reporting Experience with Smartsheets, including project plans, dashboards, and reports Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP knowledge PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma certification/training Experience in a highly technical, engineering, research, or deep-technology environment Experience supporting PMO maturity, intake, prioritization, or governance Experience leading enterprise technology migrations or infrastructure initiatives
