IT Project Manager

Talascend is currently seeking an IT Project Manager for a contract opportunity located in Columbus, MS. 12 month project supporting the deployment of a new IT tool. This will be an onsite role, no hybrid or remote opportunity.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collecting data from end users of new IT tool; needs, pain points, suggestions. Creating Business Requirement Document (BRD) to send back to client. Managing improvements and tool evolutions as it's rolled out to end users on site. Working day to day with client's end customer and communicating next steps in the project and deployment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree required; IT or computer sciences discipline, preferred. 2-3 years of experience in IT roles. IT project management experience . MES (manufacturing execution systems) software experience, strongly preferred. Experience writing Business Requirement Document (BDR) is a plus. Willingness to be in a production/manufacturing environment collecting info and data from users-Walking around, not behind a desk. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
