Your role and responsibilities The Junior SAP Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and tracking of SAP projects and initiatives. This role works closely with senior project managers, SAP functional and technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure project activities are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with SAP delivery standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career project professional to grow within SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and optimization programs. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Delivery Support Support end‑to‑end SAP project activities including planning, execution, testing, and deployment Assist in maintaining project plans, schedules, RAID logs (risks, actions, issues, decisions), and status reports Track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across SAP workstreams Coordinate meetings, workshops, and project ceremonies (status calls, sprint reviews, UAT sessions) Stakeholder & Team Coordination Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and SAP delivery teams Follow up on action items and ensure timely closure Support communication of project updates, decisions, and changes Assist with vendor and system integrator coordination as needed SAP Project Lifecycle Support Support SAP implementation phases including: Blueprint / Explore Build Testing (SIT, UAT) Cutover & Go‑Live Assist with documentation such as functional specs, test evidence, and readiness checklists Help ensure alignment with SAP Activate or internal delivery methodologies Reporting & Governance Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for leadership Track resource assignments and timesheets Assist with budget tracking and forecasting under senior PM guidance Support governance activities and compliance documentation Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve project coordination, reporting, and delivery processes Learn SAP delivery best practices and project management standards Support post‑go‑live activities and lessons learned documentation Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field 2-5 years of experience supporting IT or ERP projects Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or similar) Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Qualifications Exposure to SAP implementations or SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PS, Ariba, etc.) Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile, or hybrid project methodologies Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum) is a plus Experience working with global or cross‑functional teams Core Skills & Competencies Project Coordination & Execution SAP Delivery Lifecycle Awareness Stakeholder Communication Risk & Issue Tracking Documentation & Reporting Time & Priority Management Why This Role Hands‑on exposure to enterprise SAP programs Clear growth path into SAP Project Manager or Program roles Opportunity to work with senior SAP architects and business leaders Build a strong foundation in ERP project delivery IBM Consulting is IBM's consulting and global professional services business, with market leading capabilities in business and technology transformation.
