Full Job Description About This Role:
The Global Clinical Supply Chain (GCSC) organization plays a critical role in delivering medicines to patients participating in Biogen's clinical studies worldwide. As we advance toward Vision 2030, GCSC is modernizing how we work—simplifying processes, embracing digital and AI‑enabled workflows, and building a workforce ready for the future. The Process Capabilities & Governance Lead is a highly visible, strategic individual contributor role at the center of this transformation. This role exists to modernize GCSC's ways of working, unlock sustainable productivity gains, and reduce friction across complex, cross‑functional operating models. You will define how processes are governed, changed, measured, and continuously improved across GCSC—while also helping the organization adopt digital, automation, and AI‑enabled workflows. Just as importantly, you will help upskill the workforce to thrive in a data‑driven, digitally enabled environment. This is a hybrid role to be based at our Headquarters in Cambridge, MA.
What You'll Do:
Process Governance & Operational Excellence Define and institutionalize GCSC process management standards, including process taxonomy, ownership, governance, and maturity assessment. Build accountability for process excellence and maintain a GCSC process portfolio with actionable insights. Process Change & Value Realization Establish best‑in‑class change management practices and value realization frameworks. Lead cross‑functional initiatives ensuring measurable outcomes. Digital, Automation & AI Integration Identify, prototype, and scale automation and AI‑enabled workflow improvements using approved platforms. Workforce Upskilling & Capability Building Lead digital, data, and AI upskilling efforts across GCSC.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operational Excellence, Process Excellence, or Industrial Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in relevant fields. Equivalent experience of Master's degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience may also be considered. Experience in managing complex projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Proven change management experience, particularly in process transformations and automation. Experience in cross-functional project team management and training program design. Proficiency in establishing and monitoring key performance metrics. Experience in IT systems management, system integrations, and automations. Significant exposure to data management, digitalization, and AI technologies.
Preferred Skills:
Formal Project or Change Management certification or education. Formal Process Management certification or education.
Job Level:
Management Additional Information The base compensation range for this role is: $151,000.00-$208,000.00 Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity. Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
