Job Description

The Sr. IT Project Manager acts as the single source of truth for project status, scope, risks, dependencies, decisions, and delivery outcomes. The Sr. IT Project Manager is responsible for leading complex technology initiatives that support strategic business objectives and organizational transformation. This role serves as the primary owner of project delivery, ensuring alignment across business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors from project initiation through stabilization. The Senior IT Project Manager drives planning, execution, communication, risk management, and change adoption while operating independently in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires exceptional leadership, communication, business analysis, vendor management, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on delivering measurable business value and ensuring stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Project & Program LeadershipLead multiple concurrent projects across the full project lifecycle.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, dependencies, and resource forecasts.

Establish governance structures, steering committees, and executive reporting.

Proactively identify and mitigate risks, issues, and roadblocks. Stakeholder & Executive ManagementBuild strong relationships with executive, business, and technology leaders.

Facilitate decision-making and drive accountability across teams.

Deliver concise executive-level communications, presentations, and status reporting.

Escalate issues appropriately while presenting recommendations and options. Vendor ManagementManage relationships with implementation partners, software vendors, consultants, and service providers.

Hold vendors accountable for commitments, deliverables, timelines, and quality.

Challenge assumptions and ensure vendors provide appropriate recommendations and solutions.

Coordinate contract deliverables, SOWs, change requests, and vendor performance reviews. Business Analysis & RequirementsLead discovery sessions and requirements gathering activities.

Translate business needs into actionable requirements and delivery plans.

Facilitate process analysis, workflow design, and solution discussions.

Ensure requirements traceability through testing and deployment. Change Management & AdoptionPartner with business leaders to assess organizational impacts.

Develop communication, training, and adoption strategies.

Drive stakeholder readiness and business engagement throughout project execution.

Support organizational change efforts to maximize solution adoption and value realization. Delivery & QualityCoordinate testing, cutover, deployment, and stabilization activities.

Ensure business readiness and operational transition planning.

Track project outcomes, benefits realization, and post-implementation success metrics. Qualifications RequiredBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field required or equivalent experience.7+ years leading complex IT projects and programsExperience managing third-party vendors and system integrators. Experience leading enterprise software implementations, upgrades, integrations, or transformations. Strong business analysis and requirements management experience. Experience driving organizational change management activities. Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority. PreferredRetail, supply chain, eCommerce, ERP, CRM, or enterprise applications experience. PMO, portfolio management, or transformation office experience. PMP, Agile, Scrum, Prosci, or equivalent certifications.
Skills and Abilities:
