Job Description

Technical Program Manager Tesla - 3.3 Austin, TX Job Details Full-time 2 days ago Qualifications Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description What to Expect MyEHS is Tesla's internal Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) platform for employees worldwide to report events, run inspections, track actions, log operational learning, and more. As a Technical Program Manager for MyEHS, you sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and the global EHS organization.
This is a support-heavy role:
a large share of your time will be spent helping people get unblocked—through SI-assisted support channels and direct, in-person conversations with factory, field, and office users. You will translate real-world needs into clear requirements, run user acceptance testing before releases land, and partner with engineering to ship reliable improvements at Tesla pace. You will also design and operate SI workflows that scale high-volume support without losing the human judgment users need when stakes are high. Success depends on technical fluency, genuine curiosity about how work happens in reality, and the ability to earn trust across EHS stakeholders. You influence without authority, keep programs moving, and leave users more capable than you found them. This role is available in San Francisco Bay Area; Austin, TX; or Reno, NV. What You'll Do Support end-to-end delivery of MyEHS programs and releases—scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes—in partnership with product, engineering, and EHS&S stakeholders Provide high-volume user support through AI agents and in-person conversations, triaging issues, coaching users, and escalating systemic problems with clear root-cause context Engage non-technical stakeholders across manufacturing, service, and energy teams; translate workflows, constraints, and feedback into actionable requirements Plan and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) for MyEHS features and integrations, validating real-world scenarios before go-live and driving defect closure to ship quality Design, build, and iterate AI-assisted support and operational workflows that reduce time-to-resolution while preserving accuracy, escalation paths, and auditability Support stakeholder alignment across regions and functions—status, trade-offs, adoption risks, and decisions—so priorities stay clear and delivery stays predictable Use hands-on technical judgment (systems, data, tooling, and process) to unblock work yourself when possible, improve operating rhythms, and raise the bar on support quality and program execution What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree and background in program coordination, operations support, customer/user support, implementation, or equivalent experience Strong people skills: you build trust quickly, listen well, and work comfortably with non-technical stakeholders as well as engineers and leaders Support-first mindset with empathy, patience, and clear communication—especially when users are frustrated, under time pressure, or learning a new system Solid problem-solving instincts: you dig into issues, find practical answers, and know when to escalate versus resolve yourself Comfort handling high-volume support through AI-assisted channels and in-person conversations without losing quality or follow-through Ability to deliver at Tesla pace—prioritize, stay organized under load, and move work forward even when requirements are incomplete or changing Willingness to learn technical tools, UAT practices, and AI workflows hands-on; curiosity and coachability matter Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, gender identity or any other factor protected by applicable federal, state or local laws. Tesla is also committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
