Job Description
PURPOSE Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and hands-on project assignments while supporting Builders FirstSource's digital transformation efforts. Work is performed under direct supervision. This internship provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience at the intersection of field operations, technology, and digital product development while helping drive adoption of the myBLDR digital platform. The role serves as a key connection between field teams and digital product teams, helping translate operational needs into technology solutions and ensuring new digital capabilities are effectively communicated, understood, and adopted. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with an interest in technology and business operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as a liaison between field teams and digital product teams, ensuring feedback, needs, and challenges are clearly communicated and understood. Translate technical concepts, product enhancements, and digital capabilities into clear, user-friendly messaging for field employees. Build relationships with field stakeholders to encourage engagement, trust, and adoption of digital tools and processes. Support initiatives designed to increase adoption and utilization of the myBLDR digital platform. Conduct outreach and engagement activities with field teams within an assigned market area. Gather, organize, and analyze user feedback, adoption data, and operational insights to identify opportunities for improvement. Identify barriers to digital adoption and recommend solutions to improve user experience and engagement. Translate field feedback into actionable product recommendations and business requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Digital, IT, Product Management, Sales, and Operations, to support project goals. Assist with communication and change management initiatives that drive digital transformation throughout the organization. Identify and share adoption success stories, best practices, and improvement opportunities across assigned markets. Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning discussions. Assist with various projects in support of the Digital Field Engagement team. Develop and present findings, recommendations, and measurable outcomes at the conclusion of the internship .MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management or a related field with a general understanding of business and digital technology. Open to students at any academic level (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student). GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred. Interest in digital transformation, technology adoption, business operations, and customer engagement. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.COMPETENCIES

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly through presentations, reports, coursework, projects, or leadership activities. Experience building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders. Interest in serving as a bridge between business users and technology teams. Ability to translate user feedback and operational challenges into business requirements and product recommendations. Strong facilitation, storytelling, and influencing skills. Data analytics and reporting experience through coursework, projects, or internships. Understanding of change management principles and organizational adoption practices. Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize information into actionable recommendations.
