This role ensures 24/7 operational continuity by managing data communications, ERP systems, and critical backups. A primary focus is the proactive monitoring of core systems to resolve hardware, software, and network issues before they impact department productivity.
Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Networking:
Support and maintain data communications networks (LAN/WAN) and provide comprehensive maintenance for all IT equipment.
ERP System Management:
Act as the technical lead for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring data integrity and application availability. 24/7
Operations Support:
Provide around-the-clock technical oversight to maintain "always-on" business applications and services.
Data Integrity:
Execute and verify daily DB backups and lead disaster recovery protocols to prevent data loss.
Security & Compliance:
Manage antivirus updates across all endpoints and ensure security patches are applied to operating systems.
End-User Enablement:
Administer Office support applications, E-mail (Exchange/O365), and MS Office suites.
Help Desk Leadership:
Resolve multi-tiered hardware and software problems for department employees in a prompt, professional fashion. Follow all company's policies and procedures. Communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Promote collaborative and team-oriented workplace culture. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Technical Qualifications Operating Systems:
Proficiency in Windows Server and Desktop environments (Linux knowledge is a plus).
Networking:
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, switches, routers, and firewalls.
Software:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, email administration, and ERP architecture.
Backups:
Experience with enterprise-level backup software and database management (SQL/Oracle). Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology is preferred
Analytical Thinking:
Ability to design monitoring frameworks and diagnose complex network issues.
Responsiveness:
A "service-first" mindset with the ability to act quickly in a 24/7 environment.
Organization:
Capable of maintaining detailed logs of antivirus updates, equipment maintenance, and backup successes.
