Geotechnical Project Manager

Job Description
Weston & Sampson has an immediate opening for a Geotechnical Project Manager with 8+ years of experience in our Waterbury, VT office. The candidate must have comprehensive experience with geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soilstructure interaction, development of appropriate foundation and site-related geotechnical recommendations, and report preparation. Field experience associated with subsurface investigations and earthwork construction is required. Experience with dams preferred.
What you'll do:
+ Responsible for project management; preparation of proposals, complex technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
+ Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites.
What you'll bring:
+ MS with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.
+ Minimum 8 years of diverse and proven geotechnical experience.
+ Experience with CAD, dam safety engineering, seepage analyses, and hydrologichydraulic modeling related to dams is a plus
+ Familiar with geotechnical aspects of Building Codes and Design Manuals.
+ Strong construction experience.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
+ Must be motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
+ PE certification is required.
