Position Summary:
Marshall Health Network (MHN) is seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Enterprise Applications to lead the planning, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of clinical, business, and revenue cycle systems. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the Director will play a pivotal role in driving application standardization and integration across the enterprise. This individual will oversee a multidisciplinary team and serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, ensuring technology solutions align with MHN's mission and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage enterprise application initiatives including EHR (Oracle Health) and ERP (Infor) systems. Supervise clinical, financial, and interface analysts across functional areas. Develop and execute application strategies to support MHN's operational and clinical excellence. Champion consolidation and standardization across MHN enterprise systems. Cultivate a strong service and governance culture across departments. Collaborate closely with clinical and business leaders to define, evaluate, and meet technology requirements. Ensure ongoing support, testing, upgrades, and defect resolution across supported systems. Manage vendor relationships and service contracts. Develop training programs and ensure end-user adoption and satisfaction. Oversee project planning, budgeting, change management, and performance reporting.
Leadership & Team Management:
Coach and mentor IT application managers, supervisors, and analysts. Foster a culture of accountability, trust, and innovation. Align department goals with enterprise strategy and objectives. Maintain strong communication across all organizational levels.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive management experience in healthcare IT or related fields. 2+ years of experience in clinical systems environments. Hands-on experience with EHR systems (Cerner/Oracle preferred). Strong understanding of clinical software configuration, operational support, and healthcare workflows. Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and complex projects. Experience leading enterprise-level application implementations and integrations. Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations.
